The children enjoyed Carnival Day. They danced to She She Kule with their shakers and enjoyed some banana muffins.
Reception went to the Prayer Garden for the Month of Mary. We talked about why Mary is important and prayed with the rosary beads.
Our topic this term is “people who help us” Paulina came into school this week to talk to us all about being a restaurant manager and the different types of the jobs in a restaurant.
Major Tom visited us this week to celebrate Space Week. He taught us a new game called space statues. We all had lots of fun. We have also been celebrating all the different heritages in Reception by painting different flags from around the world. In Maths we have been learning about patterns and designed dresses for Handa. We also made fruit kebabs using some of the fruit from Handa’s surprise.
This week we have been learning all about 2D shapes and reading Handa’s Surprise. We painted tropical fruit and drew shape pictures, turning the shapes into different things.
