This week we have been busy making Mother’s Day cards and celebrating how great mums are by inviting mums to a breakfast. The highlight of our week was going to the Gruffalo Park. Everyone enjoyed the trip and got involved with all the activities. Please check our blog again for pictures.
This week in Maths we have been doing doubling and creating our own symmetrical pictures. We have also been creating our own disgusting pizzas , inspired by our story of the week – Yum ! Yuck !
This week has been really busty, we have been learning all about halving. Samuel Class pet – Paws went missing so we have been busy making posters to find him. In R.E we have been learning all about Palm Sunday, so we made out own paper palm leaves to act out the story. In addition to all of that we celebrated Science Week by doing different science experiments.
Today, Fr Keith came into Ruth Class for our class mass, the children tried their best to sing all the hymns. Thank you to all parents who came.
The children really enjoyed dressing up for World Book Day. We enjoyed reading stories throughout the day and some children even began to write their own stories. We partnered with year 3 to share a story and did some activities in pairs.
We’ve had a very busy week, we celebrated Shrove Tuesday by making pancakes and learning all about Lent. We’ve also been busy learning all about capacity. In the role play area, we have been practising to look after pets.
