Thank you to all parents who came to sports day. Well done to all children for participating and cheering on their friends. Everyone had fun and enjoyed the different activities.
In Reception we have been busy preparing for Fathers Day. The children made gingerbread men and cards for someone in their family. Thank you to all parents and carers for coming to Fathers day sports morning and well done to Ruth class for all their hard work, preparing for their assembly.
This week we have been learning how to tell the time. The children have made their own clocks and are beginning to tell the time to the hour. The children have also been creating their own comic strips using their favourite characters. Well done to Samuel class for their fantastic assembly.
This week Samuel class have been busy practising their assembly, the children can’t wait to share their hard work with everyone. The caterpillars are now in a chrysalis and we are patiently waiting for them to turn into butterflies. The children have enjoyed sharing their hard work and teaching each other about how different animals grow. Below are some examples.
To celebrate the Month of Mary, Reception went to pray with year 6 in the Mary garden.
This week we have been watching out caterpillars grow and carefully looking after them. We were also visited by Zoo lab. The children were excited to see all the mini beasts and got the opportunity to hold some of the animals.
Thank you to all parents who came to our Reading and Writing workshop. Below are some links for some games you can use to help support your child’s learning. We are now consolidating phase 3 phonics, so please focus on this as well as phase 2.
This week Reception have enjoyed looking after the ducklings. Everyone got to hold one if they wanted. The children have been busy drawing the life cycle of a duckling. In Maths we have been looking at patterns and creating our own patterns using a range of objects. The ducklings will be leaving us this Friday and they will be missed. We have also been working hard in phonics, below are some links to online games.
