Learning
‘With Christ at our centre, we love, listen and learn.’
At OLSJ we are a Catholic school and Christ is at the centre of everything we do. With this in mind, we teach a rich and varied curriculum alongside our core gospel values. Each class covers a range of topics throughout the year and cross-curricular learning takes place. We aim for all children to achieve their full potential and we strive for the highest standards from both teachers and children. Learning is done both inside and outside the classroom and the lessons planned are exciting, engaging and meaningful to children growing up in modern Britain.
In addition to the class topics, OLSJ have a cultural calendar; which includes a range of themed days and weeks across the whole school. These special themed events reflect the context of our school and local community. They include Black History Week, Eid, Diwali, Remembrance Day and Anti-bullying week, as well as different feast days. Take a look at our cultural calendar to explore more!
We have a range of extra-curricular activities for children at OLSJ including cooking club, football club, craft club and many more. Take a look at the different clubs that we run.
