Kente Patterns: Zechariah Class

This week, in honour of Black History Month, students in Zechariah class were learning about Kente cloth and the meaning behind the different colours and patterns.

Each student had the opportunity to create their own kente design, choosing which patterns to use and what colours. It was an extremely enjoyable lesson which taught a lot of us something new about black culture! đŸ™‚ It was also a chance for some students to explain to us in more depth when they wear their kente cloth at home and what they symbolise.
