Ruth and River led today’s Chaplaincy team’s prayer group. The word of today was taken from the Gospel of Sunday 28th May 2017 Matthew 28: 16-20. The group was asked to write down on a sheet of paper one word to describe how the disciples may have felt when they met Jesus in Galilee after he had risen to new life. Some people thought they would have felt ‘blessed’ and ‘special’ when Jesus told them to go forth and spread the word of God to all nations. Others spoke about the possibility of them feeling a little ‘afraid’ at being given such a big responsibility.
We had many new faces at our prayer group today, we hope to see you all again next week 🙂
Today, in Science, in both year 6 classes, we took a closer look at micro-organisms from the Monera, Protista and Fungi kingdoms. We split into groups and researched different types of micro-organisms which we come across in our everyday lives (including good/bad bacteria in the body, mushrooms, algae, protozoa and mould.) Each group then made a poster that they later presented to the rest of the class.
Best of luck to all our children in year 6, who start their SATs today. You have all worked really hard this year and we are extremely proud of each and every one of you.
