Hello Family and Friends,

Last term we were very excited to release the balloons for the ‘balloon race’ hopefully they have travelled far, we will find out soon……

This week in reception we have been learning about jungle animals.  We have found out lots of interesting facts!  In the outside area we have a vets.  We have been looking after the animals, writing the prescriptions and buying the medicine using money.

In literacy we have been reading a story called the ‘Pizza Princess’, it was about a princess who loved pizza but did not have any manners.  We are excited to go on our trip to ‘Dominoes Pizza’ next week.

In maths we have been continuing learning about addition and subtraction and are now writing our own number sentences.

Hello Family and Friends,

This week in Reception we have begun learning about Chinese New Year.  In the outdoor area we have made a chinese restaurant, cooking and serving tasty noodles!  We have also been designing and making our own menus.

In maths we have been learning how to add 2 numbers together using numicon and sweets!  We have even begun writing our own sums, which is very exciting.
