This week the children have been working hard at recording subtraction number sentences, some children even told their own number stories. We have also been celebrating spring by doing observational drawings of daffodils; observing them as they transition from buds to flowers in full bloom.
This half term we have been learning about animals. The children thought carefully about their favourite animals and did projects at home. Some posters, models and dioramas were made. The creativity and and effort has been fantastic.
This week we have been celebrating Valentine’s Day by making cards and rice crispy cakes.Have a look at our Valentine’s Day activities. We have also been busy learning all about subtraction through stories. We continued Chinese New Year celebrations by role playing in a Chinese Restaurant.
This week we have been celebrating Chinese New Year by cooking noodles, making dragon models and learning about Chinese traditions. The children have also been acting out the story in our small world.
Today two police officers came to visit us and showed the children all their equipment and uniforms. We even got to try on some of the apparel. We spoke about how to be safe
