Year 1 Superstars

This afternoon, year 1 Ezra had an excellent PE lesson, showing off their fantastic football skills with Mr Cuming.
With so many children demonstrating excellent control of the ball and amazing skills, it was a difficult choice to choose one child for a certificate. Because we could not choose one child who stood out, we have selected 4 children for awards! No class has ever had 4 children receive certificates from one PE lesson before, so well done everyone in Ezra class and massive congratulations to Levi, Lilia, Brody and Tilly-Mae 🙂

Well done to the dream team 🙂

Star of the week :)

This week’s PE star of the week is Maddie!!! Well done Maddie 🙂
Maddie is our star of the week because of her outstanding effort in her PE lesson with Mr Cuming.
The aim of the lesson was to be able to receive a football on the back foot and be able to turn and see space as well as keeping the ball under control. Maddie demonstrated excellent skill during the technical practices and even used this new skill during the football matches at the end of the lesson.

Congratulations on your award Maddie 🙂

Who will be the PE star next week? Could it be you?

Star of the week 🙂

Year 1 Stars!

Well done to Harlyn and Sidney for their excellent effort during this week’s PE lesson with Mr Cuming.
They both showed excellent skill with the football at their feet, they worked hard all the time and most importantly, they had fun! 🙂
Well done to both of you, you should be very proud of your achievement this week and I hope to see even more children inspired by you!

Well done girls 🙂

Dancing Feet

Well done Alexandra for being an absolute superstar during her PE lesson with Mr Cuming.
Alexandra worked really hard to learn Mr Cuming’s ‘football dance’! With her incredible footwork, Alexandra not only learned the dance, but she has mastered it!!

Congratulations 🙂

Miss Hemming’s is thrilled with all the hard work and enthusiasm you’ve been showing in PE, well done 🙂

PE Star of The Week

More PE superstars

During this weeks PE lesson in year 4, Billy and Tae really impressed Mr Cuming with their hard work and skill during the rugby games they were playing.
Both Billy and Tae were constantly moving, showing excellent fitness levels as well as being able to complete all tasks during the lesson and learn some difficult passing techniques.
Mr Cuming is very proud of your efforts so far this year and really wishes they continue throughout the year and inspire others to work just as hard as you do.

Well done Billy and Tae 🙂

Hard work pays off

A huge well done to Joey for all of his hard work and effort during PE and the daily mile this week. Miss Hemmings has told me all about your fantastic effort and how you are always joining in with a huge smile on your face.
Joey, you are an incredible member of your class and are lucky to have you as part of their team. We are lucky to have you here with us at OLSJ.

Please keep up the excellent work, you are such a fine example to everyone here at OLSJ 🙂

Well done Rowell!

Rowell was awarded this certificate yesterday for his amazing efforts during his PE lesson with Mr Cuming.
Rowell demonstrated excellent skill with the football at his feet as well as being hard working and an amazing member of the team, encouraging others and being positive with everyone.

The Daily Mile Returns to OLSJ

This morning we welcomed back the daily mile at OLSJ and we opened our gates at 8:25 to over 50 children. It was amazing to see so many of you there all walking and jogging to complete your morning miles.
We were so pleased to hear so many of you telling us that you’d even completed more laps than you needed too 🙂

Huge well done to everyone this morning, you’ve put Mr. Cuming and Miss Hemmings in a great mood and we are looking forward to seeing even more of you with us tomorrow morning.

Star of the Week

Congratulations Piotr!!

Piotr is the first star of the week for PE this year and was chosen by Miss Hemmings for his hard work, great attitude and determination during the lesson as well as being extremely helpful when collecting and putting away all the equipment.
Piotr has set a fantastic to his class mates and the rest of the school and I hope to see lots more children putting in just as much effort as Piotr next week. Who knows, maybe you could be the next PE ‘Star of the Week’.
