Today is a not very normal World Book Day. Normally today we dress up and talk about amazing books. Unfortunately it’s been postponed for a bit.

HOWEVER some of our great teachers have volunteered for MASKED READER!!!

Can you guess the person reading who works at our school? Watch the videos linked and then write your answers on Google Classroom. One person who gets the answers right and explains what their favourite book is and why will win a prize!! If you are using Google Classroom you can access via there and input your answers. If youโ€™d still like to enter but donโ€™t use it why not write who you think it is and which book is your favourite in the comments below…Good luck!

OUR OWN TRACTION MAN ADVENTURE

Over the last few days, we’ve been looking at the ‘Traction Man’ story and have been innovating our own story to create a new Traction Man adventure which involves a naughty villain and Traction Man coming to save the day!

Here’s a brilliant example from one of our Year 2 children using puppets and some sequencing language.

Traction Man to the rescue!

WHAT WE’LL BUILD – THESE ARE MY HANDS POEM.

In our Writing sessions, we’re looking at a book called “What We’ll Build” by an author called Oliver Jeffers. Once of the first tasks that we’ve done is to look at our hands and write a Poem about what they can do! Listen to this Poem called “These are my hands” from our very own Spiderman….. We absolutely love the creativity ๐Ÿ™‚

SpiderMan and his amazing hands!

DID SOMEONE SAY “CHINESE NOODLES” ?!

Well, well, well…. Who knew we had such amazing recipe-followers in our Class? After doing her map and learning how to make Chinese Noodles, this Year 2 child went to the shops, bought the ingredients and then cooked it for her Lunch (with the help of Mummy, of course!)

We can’t believe how tasty they look! – Well done ๐Ÿ™‚

INNOVATED STORIES – WRITING

Well, well, well…… When we asked for some videos of you reading your innovated stories, we didn’t expect videos such as this! The video has is SO well put together and we loved listening to your story.

What was your favourite part? ๐Ÿ™‚
