Year 6 Homework 26.4.18

 

 

Remember to practise your spellings and multiplications and to read your reading record every night (30 minutes). Please remember to get your reading record signed also – indicate the name of the book and pages being read eg. Charlie and the Glass Elevator, Pages 1 – 52. Use the web links on the year 6 page for Numeracy and Literacy games to practise your skills. The spelling test takes place on Monday the 30th of April and homework is due in on Tuesday the 1st of May.

Please complete the ‘First News’ reading comprehension and answer the questions that follow.

 

Numeracy

 

Miss Lynch’s Set:

Complete a range of old SATs questions on a range of topics

 

Miss Finnegan’s Set:

Please complete the worksheets on pie charts, conversion graphs and multiplying fractions by whole numbers.

 

RE

 

Complete the anagram activity on the Pentecost- unscramble the words to reveal ten words from the Bible story.

SATs Project Winner

Congratulations to Macey for winning the Malachi competition  for the best SATs revision project. She was delighted with her unicorn ‘My Little Pony Prize’. Watch this space for next half terms winner!

  • Adding Fractions with different denominators
  • Improper Fractions and Mixed Numbers
  • Multiplying Mixed Numbers(Remember- improper Fraction)

 

Miss Finnegan’s Set:

Complete the following worksheets:

  • Finding missing angles
  • Dividing fractions by whole numbers (Keep, Change, Flip)
  • Multiplying fractions
  • Adding fractions with different denominators.
