# Where are we?

Today in year 6,  in Topic, we were learning about the four countries in the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland). Once we had located them and identified the capital cities, we spent time exploring other countries and continents. To celebrate the different cultures in the classroom, some students looked up their country and spoke to the rest of the class about it at the end.

# Periscopes

Today in Science and Art we made our own periscopes. We used a cardboard box and two mirrors to create our periscopes. We cut a hole in bottom of our box and the top of our box on the opposite side. Next we place to mirrors at an angle to reflect the light from one mirror to the other so we were able to see the image at the top of our periscope.
