Y4 Christmas Festivities

To help Year 4 get into the Christmas spirit we decided to do something really fun and Christmassy. On Thursday, the children made their own baubles to hang on their trees at home. Children were able to decorate their baubles using artificial snow, glitter, jingle bells, christmas themed confetti and even sweets. We made sure to play some Christmas music in the background to help us feel festive. The baubles looked amazing!

Year 4 Christmas Project

Next half term, we will be learning all about countries of the world for our Topic. Over the Christmas holidays, we would like you to create your very own island based on your family’s country of origin.

We hope you all have a lovely holiday and we can’t wait to see your amazing projects when we get back.

Talent Show Winners!!!!

On Tuesday, the whole school took part in OLSJ’s Got Talent. There were so many good acts that performed for the rest of the school. The act from Jeremiah class included Olivia, Belle, Evie-Mae and Dina and they sang and danced to Someone you loved by Lewis Capaldi. We had an amazing result as these girls came 1st place!

Massive well done girls. Jeremiah class are so very proud of you!

Trip to The Big Top Christmas party

On Monday 16th, Year 4 travelled to central London to the Big Top Christmas Party. The party took place in a circus themed tent which had a variety of fun activities for the children to do. They enjoyed a magician storyteller, a bubbleologist and a special visit from Santa. Children also enjoyed having their faces painted and creating Christmas themed arts and crafts. To top off an amazing day out, children were also gifted a comic book from Santa. What a great day out!

Topic

Last week we looked at how we can reduce our carbon footprint. We decided that as a class we would focus on recycling as part of our vow to reduce our carbon footprint. Today we looked at different recyclable materials and plastics such as cardboard, glass and paper. We then worked in groups and sorted different items into the correct recycling bins.
