St Andrew’s Day in Jeremiah

In Jeremiah, we learned how to do the Highland Fling to celebrate St Andrew’s Day. It is a traditional Scottish dance which is usually danced on the spot. This tradition stems back to when Scottish warriors would put their shield on the ground and perform the dance while staying on their shield. Here are some pictures and videos of us practising.

Year 4 School Trip to The Crystal 21.11.17

This week, Year 4 went on a School trip to The Crystal. We learned all about sustainable living and how to be eco-friendly. The Crystal is one of the most sustainable buildings in the world. It collects rainwater and once it has been treated, it is reused throughout the building. How amazing is that! We got to watch a short film on what cities will look like and how they will function in the future. It was really interesting. We also used our bodies to generate kinetic energy. Hopefully in the future, this kind of energy will be harvested in busy places such as football arenas and tube and train stations. Here are some photos from our trip.
