## Writing Competition (All Year Groups)

Sr. Christine is running a special writing competition. If you would like to enter we have made a video to help you write a great entry. The video is the same for Y1-6, so the whole family can watch it together. The competition is also open to adults, so feel free to ask your parents to write their own story.

It needs to be a TRUE story

There is no word limit.

The deadline is 25th June (Hand it in to Sr. Christine at the St. Matthias Community Centre), or Friday 19th June sent to year5@olsj.co.uk. Mr Everden will print and hand them in for you.

## Isaiah words for the assembly

Hi all,

For the assembly we will be singing ‘I wanna be like you’.

Now I’m the king of the swingers, oh
The jungle VIP
I’ve reached the top and had to stop
And that’s what botherin’ me
I wanna be a man, mancub
And stroll right into town
And be just like the other men
I’m tired of monkeyin’ around!

Oh, oobee doo
I wanna be like you
I wanna walk like you, talk like you, too
You’ll see it’s true someone like me
Can learn to be human like you

Oh, oobee doo
I wanna be like you
I wanna walk like you, talk like you, too
You’ll see it’s true someone like me
Can learn to be human like you
