Maths homework 11.10

Year 1 Homework 5.10.17

Hi Parents and Carers,

We have been learning about different methods to add 2 numbers together.

Your child needs to write a sentence for each of the words based on our school trip to the museum.

Please remember to support your child in practicing their High Frequency word spellings and to bring their book in each week. Can you also ensure that your child is learning how to read the 100 High Frequency words in their reading records, as this will really help improve their reading.

Please read with your child every night and sign the reading record. If you would like your child to keep the book, please just write this in their Reading Record and they can have it until they have finished reading it.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Geffrye Museum

Hello Family and Friends,

Yesterday Year 1 visited the Geffrye museum.  We learnt about different homes and how they have changed over the years.  We then  compared a  Victorian home and a house in the 1990’s.  We learnt that in Victorian times they did not have a television or any electrical items.  In the 1990’s people had televisions and video players it their home.
