Year 1 Ezra Visits the Prayer Garden

On Tuesday, Ezra class visited the Prayer Garden and had a wonderful time honouring Mary and celebrating the start of the month of Mary.

We started by saying the Hail Mary together as a class.

Then three children in the class led the Daily Act of Worship for the rest of the class. We sat in a circle, then our teacher read to us from the Catholic Children’s Bible. She read a passage from Luke where the Angel Gabriel appears to Mary and tells her she would have a baby who would be God’s son, and that she should call him Jesus. We then reflected on this passage, saying a quiet prayer to God in our hearts. Finally, we heard that our mission for the week was to do something helpful at home.

After that, a few of the children in the class read their prayers from the prayer book to the rest of the class.

We ended our special time in the Prayer Garden by singing the Ave Maria together as a class.

It was such a special experience and we can’t wait to visit the garden again!

  1. Well done I think it is very respectful to say a prayer in the prayer garden
