Entrance Hymn – Bring Flowers of the Rarest

Procession to Our Lady’s Statue and gather in the Hall:

Bring flowers of the rarest
bring blossoms the fairest,
from garden and woodland and hillside and dale;
our full hearts are swelling,
our glad voices telling
the praise of the loveliest flower of the vale!

O Mary we crown thee with blossoms today!
Queen of the Angels and Queen of the May.
O Mary we crown thee with blossoms today,
Queen of the Angels and Queen of the May.

Their lady they name thee, their mistress proclaim thee,
ah, grant that thy children on earth be as true
as long as the bowers are radiant with flowers,
as long as the azure shall keep its bright hue.

Sing gaily in chorus; the bright angels o’er us
re-echo the strains we begin upon earth;
their harps are repeating the notes of our greeting,
for Mary herself is the cause of our mirth

Responsorial psalm          Luke 1:46-55

(Sung to the tune of Amazing Grace)

My soul proclaims the Lord my God,
my Spirit sings His praise!
He looks on me, He lifts me up
and gladness fills my days.

All nations now will share my joy
His gifts He has outpoured;
His little one He has made great;
I magnify the Lord.

His mercy is forever more
His name I praise again.
His strong right arm puts down the proud
and lifts the lowly high.

He fills the hungry with good things
the rich He sends away;
the promise made to Abraham
is filled by him each day.

Magnificat, Magnificat,
Magnificat, praise God!
Praise God, praise God, praise God, Praise God,
Magnificat, praise God.

Offertory Hymn – As I kneel before you

As I kneel before you,
as I bow my head in prayer,
take this day, make it yours
and fill me with your love.

Ave Maria,
Gratia plena,
Dominus tecum,
Benedicta tu.

All I have I give you,
every dream and wish are yours,
Mother of Christ,
Mother of mine, present them to my Lord.

(Repeat Refrain)

As I kneel before you,
and I see your smiling face,
ev’ry thought, ev’ry word
is lost in your embrace.

(Repeat Refrain)

Communion Hymns – Lord Jesus Christ & Holy Virgin by God’s Decree

Lord Jesus Christ you have come to us
You are one with us, Mary’s Son.
Cleansing our souls from all their sin
pouring Your love and goodness in
Jesus our love for you we sing,
living Lord.

Lord Jesus Christ now and every day
teach us how to pray, Son of God.
You have commanded us to do
this in remembrance Lord of you
into our lives your power breaks through,
living Lord.

Lord Jesus Christ, you have come to us
born as one with us, Mary’s Son.
Led out to die on Calvary,
risen from death to set us free,
living Lord Jesus help us see
You are Lord.

live my life for you, Son of God.
All your commands I know are true,
your many gifts will make me new,

when in mankind your Son took his place. Mary, we love you, hail, full of grace. (R.)

AT2- Year 3/4/5/6

The three days of the Easter Tridium (Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday) contain both sad and joyful moments: moments when what happens is frightening and upsetting and hopeful and joyful. What kinds of experiences in our world today could we call ‘good Friday’ and ‘Easter Sunday’ experiences?
