This week we have been reading the story; ‘Owl Babies’, all about a mother and her children. It has a lovely reassuring message that mummy will always come back! We have had lots of fun reading the story, role playing the story, and sequencing the story; putting the pictures in the correct order. We have also painted owl pictures and learnt some facts about owls!
In maths we have been practicing counting to 5, recognising numerals and matching objects to numerals. We have been learning about size and using the language of ‘big’, ‘small’, ‘bigger’, ‘smaller’, ‘biggest’ and ‘smallest’.
In RE we have been continuing to learn about the Nativity story. We talked about how we celebrate Jesus’ birthday and shared the photographs parents and carers emailed to us, thank you! Then we drew pictures and paintings of Christmas!
To celebrate Diwali, the children painted Rangoli patterns and made Diva lamps out of plasticine. We hope you enjoy lighting your candles!
For Anti-Bullying week we talked about what makes a good friend and we learnt a lovely friendship song!
We celebrated ‘Children in Need’ week by making Pudsey bear designs! Thank you for your £1 donations!
