Good morning Nursery! Lets us start the day the right way, let’s begin with the morning prayer…

Parents: New learning packs are now available. Please can you return the previous weeks (Week 1,2,3 and 4) packs to add to your child’s me books. A big Thank you for sending all the lovely photos of all your home learning to nursery@olsj.co.uk. It looks as if everybody has had a really busy week! Another huge thank you to all our parents/guardians and children for all your effort, hard work and engagement we appreciate that it is not always easy.😀

Story of the Week: This week our story of the week is ‘Goldilocks and the three bears’. Below is another fantastic version of the story. We have explored different versions of the story throughout this week which version is your favourite? Can you retell the story to a family member using your own words? What was your favourite part of the story?📕

Phonics: This week we have explored voice sounds and body percussion. Watch and join in with the video below for more fun filled body percussion!

Maths: Number 10: This week we have been learning all about the number 10! Why not try writing the number 10 in the air using your finger, in a bowl of flour or if your feeling super confident you can try writing your number 10 straight onto your white board! Join the Numberblocks for a reminder of what number 10 looks like!😁

Maths – Size: We have also been exploring size in maths this week. Did you have fun ordering objects from home from biggest to smallest? Why not watch the video below and see if you can spot which object is small, medium or big!

Golden time: Get your playdough and enjoy golden time dough disco!! Can you roll, squash, splat, poke and squeeze your playdough?😀

Storytime: After another busy week of learning why not wind down and join Miss Davis for a story! Todays story is Say goodnight to the sleepy animals.🐾

Why not end another fantastic day of home learning by giving thanks to God with the end of the day prayer… maybe you could choose your own prayer to say.

At the end of the day we come to say thank you for your love today. Thank you for our families and all the friends you give to me. Guard me in the dark of night and in the morning send your light. Amen.

Story of the Week: This week our story is ‘Goldilocks and the three bears’. It is not only fun but it is also important for the children to hear different versions of the story, we hope you enjoy this one! Is this version of the story the same as the previous ones you have heard?

Phonics: This week in Phonics we are learning all about voice sounds and Body percussion. Grab your sound cards from your learning pack and join Miss Davis in practising the Voice sound cards! Can you still remember them all? Then after joining Miss Davis if you are still eager to do more voice sounds why not click on the link and Join Maddison and Felix for a recap on the voice sounds we learnt on Monday.

Maths – Number 10: This week we have been having fun learning all about the number 10. Listen to our number song…. Can you find 10 socks? 10 pieces of pasta? Any of your favourite items are fine to use. Take a photo and email it in to nursey@olsj.co.uk.

Maths – Size: So far this week Miss Slaney has been busy finding and ordering lots of different things in our classroom by size. Have you had a try at ordering objects by size at home? We hope you had fun!😀 Here’s a song all about big and small!
