Welcome back!

This week, we have been settling back in after our week off. We have enjoyed some of our favourite activities, and getting back into our routine.

We have been talking about Chinese New Year, and were very excited to practice our own Chinese writing! Look at our amazing efforts:

We also talked about Lent and painted special Lenten leaves that will go onto our Lenten trees in our classroom. We loved hearing the story of Lent and we will be learning more about it in the coming week. Look at our beautiful leaves:

In Maths, we have been learning about Capacity. We have had lots of fun pouring water into different containers and talking about whether they were full, empty and halfway full. Take a look:

Have a lovely weekend!

Pancake Day and more…

We have spent this week celebrating the many things which fall in the holidays, such as valentines day, shrove Tuesday and the beginnings of Chinese New Year!

To celebrate valentines day the children created cards and decorated hearts, talking about all the different people we love and why. Take a look

To celebrate Shrove Tuesday we went on a trip to Chrisp Street Market to buy fruits to use as toppings for our pancakes. The children walked down talking about road safety. They each paid using £1 and walked back sensibly.

We used everything we bought and made our pancakes!

The Three Little Pigs!

This week we have been reading the story of The Three Little Pigs. The children loved playing the characters and making masks.

They even had a chance to make houses out of straw, sticks and bricks. Take a look:

We also spent the week exploring SLIME!!! The children loved it!

Have a safe weekend!
