This week has been very colourful in Nursery with Elmer and some bright fruits and vegetables for the children to explore!

The children have also been very excited to take home our prayer book, technology book and their own Home reader books! We hope you are enjoying them too as we love home input.

We have also been busy with playdough, water play, dress ups and more!

We were also lucky enough to have Father Keith visit last Friday to baptise our baby dolls! It was a great experience for all!

In Nursery this week the children have been able to explore their senses. They felt and talked about items in a feely box using words like soft, cold, hard, crunchy, crispy, crackly, fluffy and squishy!

They also did some cooking and looked at what happens when chocolate gets hot! (they loved eating the results too)

We played some number games together on the interactive whiteboards and had loads of fun.

 

 

This week the children were lucky enough to complete our Diwali celebrations by having lovely Mehndi patterns done on their hands in henna. A big thank you to Mrs Begum and Miss Bibi for sharing their skills with the children!

We have also been painting poppies and talking about remembrance day and even had a go at baptising babies in our church!

Outside (weather permitting!) we have been working on developing the children’s gross motor skills by going over and under.

This week the children have started writing their names for registration! We have been very impressed with their first attempts. They have also been very creative making Diwali divas and firework pictures!
