Today both year 4 classes visited the Half Moon theatre and gallery to see the current exhibition titled ‘Recycollages – Junk Transformed by Susan Wadsworth. She is an artist who has a passion for the environment and creates striking and playful mixed media works using the everyday debris of our throw-away society, such as plastic toys, bottle tops, old comics, drinking straws, clothes pegs, broken jewellery and plastic bags. Her exhibition focuses on how we look at waste and that something good should be made of the things we throw away. Both classes behaved magnificently!!

The topic for year 1 is dangerous animals this term. The children have been reading the Little Red Hen in literacy and in art we turned the little red hen into a dangerous animal by adding various dangerous features, such as fangs, spikes, claws etc.
