Year 6 Prefects WANTED! – Application deadline 12th of September 2017
That’s right! During this first half term back to school the year 6 children will be given the opportunity to apply to become an Our Lady and St. Joseph RCS prefect.
- Are you committed to keeping Our Lady and St. Joseph RCS a happy and safe place?
- Are you responsible?
- Are you prepared to be a good role model?
- Do you understand the importance of following rules?
- Are you fair?
- Are you helpful?
- Can you be an ambassador for Our Lady and St. Joseph RCS?
- Are you organised? Can you organise others?
- Would you like to get better at all the above?
If you are interested in applying then please put together a letter explaining why you should be considered for the position. Things you may like to include are:
- Why you are writing to us (paragraph 1).
- Why you want to become a school prefect (paragraph 2).
- Why you think you would be a good prefect (paragraph 3).
- What you would do as a school prefect to make our school a better place (paragraph 4).
You may want to start your application letter:
Dear Miss Lynch/Miss Finnegan,
I am writing to you to apply for the illustrious position of school prefect and explain why I am the obvious choice for the job!

How many letters do we need to right because I’m not sure if we need to right one for head boy and girl

You only have to write one letter. Head boy and head girl are prefects therefore this letter covers these roles.
