Amazing Day out for Isaiah.

Today we went to the river Lea to learn about canals, locks and wildlife around the river.

We were lucky enough to go on a boat and travel along the river to see it in all it’s beauty. We then went to see Carpenter’s Lock.

It was a fantastic day out, but very tiring, so I’m sure all your children will sleep well tonight!!!

Huge thank you to the parent support who joined us (for future trips parents will be offered the opportunity to join us. These are chosen randomly off the register.)

Year 3 homework

Hi everybody,

Please find this week’s homework. The spellings are the same for all as they come off the National Curriculum for year 3 and 4.

The maths work is separate, and can be found in their book. If they haven’t got this sheet ask the teacher.

There are three challenges, children can choose the one they can complete independently.

For RE, the children in Job class should practice for their assembly and Isaiah class should practice for their mass.

Year 3 Water Safety talk

This term in year 3 we are learning about Canals. Because of this we we be going to Carpenters Lock to learn about Canal. Members of the Carpenter Lock team came in to talk to us about water safety. Here are some pictures of them showing the children how to stay safe around canals.

Games to enhance learning

In Isaiah we have been learning about what our body needs and why canals were built. We used two games linked to this topic and the children asked if they could do it at home. So here are the links!
