The last day of last term was very exciting, because we brought our homemade Easter bonnets to school and wore them in our Easter bonnet parade. The children and their families worked very hard on their bonnets, and they were all amazing! When everyone put their bonnets on, it was so lovely to see all of the different colours, and the chicks, flowers, crosses and other decorations.
The Year 1 and Year 2 classes all gathered outside with their bonnets and every child had a turn to walk in front of the other children and show off their beautiful bonnet. We had so much fun cheering for each other and it was so exciting!
Hi Parents and Carers,
Your child needs to write a sentence for each of the words relating to the work we have done for our Literacy story The Enormous Turnip.
We have been learning about money this week. We looked at all of the different coins and discussed their values and appearance. Then we used the money to help us learn about place value and to write different numbers into the place value grid (tens and ones) using 10p and 1p coins. Please support your child in completing the place value worksheet; They could use 10p and 1p coins to help them.
Please remember to support your child in practicing their High Frequency word spellings and to bring their book in each week. Can you also ensure that your child is learning how to read the 100 High Frequency words in their reading records, as this will really help improve their reading.
Please read with your child every night and sign the reading record. If you would like your child to keep the book, please just write this in their Reading Record and they can have it until they have finished reading it.
