Sentences
Your child needs to write a sentence for each of the words relating to the work we have done for our Science topic on The Water Cycle.
Maths
We have been working on solving word problems using division. The children read the problem and circle the numbers. Then they write that it is a division problem, draw the array and write the number sentence. To draw the array, the children use the smaller number for the amount of spots they draw going down (amount of groups) and then divide the remainder of spots into the groups (bigger number). They use the array to find the answer.
Spellings
Please remember to support your child in practicing their High Frequency word spellings and to bring their book in each week. Can you also ensure that your child is learning how to read the 100 High Frequency words in their reading records, as this will really help improve their reading.
Reading
Please read with your child every night and sign the reading record. If you would like your child to keep the book, please just write this in their Reading Record and they can have it until they have finished reading it.
