Welcoming children into our school is important because they can learn what we do in our school because it might be different to other schools.

It’s good to welcome people so they don’t feel left out and feel alive.

Mr Bond is a welcomer at our school, he says hello with a smile to everyone who comes through the gate.

He makes people feel happy and comforts them when they’re not in the mood for school.

It’s important to greet people in a friendly way to make them feel positive.

I think welcoming people into our school is important because new people might get lost or upset if they weren’t welcomed. It’s always nice to have a friendly person you can go and talk with.

We welcome special visitors and children to our school so they can see our amazing and fantastic work.
Perhaps they may like to join our Catholic school.

  • Welcoming new people in to our school is important because starting a new school may be scary for them.
We can make them feel happy by asking them to play.

It is important to make people feel welcome , so that they feel comfortable and safe in the new surroundings and also it would make them feel better if everyone is friendly and we all play together nicely without leaving any one out .

  • I think welcoming is important because our school is unique and others may not know much about us.
And they may have different traditions and rules.

First impressions matter – especially on the first day of school. Very important to always have new people mix in every term if possible. It makes the children happy to have a new person in their class or in the school. So I believe the atmosphere of the school should shout out in welcoming new people who will feel much welcome knowing they are safe and have friendly peers and teachers around them. Not everyone have another to talk to or share their story so Just a simple facial concern “hello, how are you” with a smile make a new or another person feel encouraged and happy.

I think it is important for new people to join the school because it is a great opportunity for them to make new friends and also get used to the school.

Yes because they are new and they don’t know anyone or where to go. So welcoming people is a friendly way of getting to know someone and making them feel comfortable

    • I agree because then there will be more people in the school and we can all get used to each other and become friends and when somebody is sad we can go and cheer them up.
