Thanks to Sister Christine for organising The Three Creeds.
Have a look at Emdad”s report on the events of the night below.
On our recent rip to Parliament, Malachi bumped into Cardinal Vincent Nichols, right in the middle of The House of Lords and the House of Commons. All the children were excited as they got to ask questions about the Laudato Si (which the Cardinal launched in OLSJ last year on our roof top). Freddy was delighted to talk about the corporal acts of mercy with him also as he was in parliament with the care of the homeless on his agenda.
On Tuesday 1st November, staff from OLSJ went to the St Matthias Centre to help cook and feed the homeless. OLSJ staff prepared and cooked chilli con carne and a vegetarian option of pasta bake. Once everybody was served we too sat down to enjoy a lovely meal in everyones company.
We would like to say a huge thank you to our very own saint, Sr Chris, for giving us the opportunity to make a difference.
It is so important to remember those who are less fortunate than us and offering a little bit of our time can and will be very much appreciated.
Remember to learn your prayers for the next communion club and fill in the pages in your ‘Called To His Supper’ book.
Our Father, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary, full of grace.
Our Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
