We have had a busy week in Nursery as the children continued to explore their classroom and garden. They started to paint their self- portraits to make our first Nursery display!
We have been learning about how to use the areas within the classroom and garden, with the help of our class teddies! The children have been learning how to sit nicely and take turns to speak during carpet sessions.
Here is our inside and outside areas the children are exploring!
Alexander has his own butterfly farm. He started off with caterpillars in a jar with a lid and watched them eat their food, then spin their cocoons and then saw them after grandma had put them into the special butterfly net. He was waiting very patiently for them to emerge from their cocoons and in only four days the butterflies started to emerge. He was very excited and was watching them with his mummy and brother Oscar. They have put some special sugar syrup and an orange into the butterfly net so that the butterflies can have something to eat.
