Today the children had the opportunity to come to school dressed as a scientist. In school we explore science through three different experiments. We made a volcano with baking powder, colour and vinegar, adding them together and watching it explode!! We used two paint colours and mixed them together in a zip bag and watch it changed to a different colour. We performed a miracle, where we changed clear water into ‘wine’, making links to Jesus performing that miracle. The children also explore cornflour mixed with water and experimented with it when we added paint. The children all enjoyed ‘Science Day’
This week we have been reading the story of the gingerbread man. We listened to many different versions of the story and joined in. We played the gingerbread man game on topmarks, counting the buttons he had. We used the playdough to make a gingerbread man and we decorated our own gingerbread man.
Today we celebrated world book day. We all dressed up in our costumes from our favourite books. We brought in our favourite stories and shared them with our classes. We had a great day!!
