Carnival in Nursery

This week we celebrated the end of Black History month with a carnival. We wore our hats, necklaces and held our shakers that we made in class. We sang our song ‘Kye Kye Kule” as we walked around the outside area. All the children had great fun and we celebrated afterwards with a banana muffin and banana milkshake.

This week we have been exploring yellow as our colour of the week. We have been reading the story Handa’s Surprise, a story set in Africa. We talked about the different animals in the story and the fruit they took from Handa’s basket. We then painted pictures of all the lovely fruit using the correct colours.
