Nativity: Away In A Manger
All of our hard work rehearsing has paid off this week as Nursery sang in the EYFS Nativity! The children looked wonderfully festive in their Christmas jumpers and did themselves proud singing the many different songs in no less than three performances! Check back on Monday to view photos, and you can view the video of the performance on the school’s main website.
Preparing for Christmas
We’ve been opening our Advent calendars every day as we count down to Christmas, and are preparing for Christmas by making decorations, wrapping presents, and posting cards to each other. We even made some Christmas pictures using the different shapes we’ve been learning about!
This week the Nursery went on their first ever school trip! We walked to the local church, St Mary and St Joseph, and were greeted there by Father Keith. We enjoyed walking around different areas of the church and talked about what we noticed. Some children remembered loved ones in Heaven who they miss and watched as a candle was lit for them. Huge thanks to all the parents and family members who supported on the trip!
We have begun learning about Advent, talking about how we are waiting to celebrate the birth of Jesus and all the things we do in order to prepare for Christmas. This week we made class advent calendars and are looking forward to opening each door throughout the season!
Nativity rehearsals are in full swing. We are looking forward to performing to you all next week!
