Bye Bye Butterflies!

Today we said goodbye to our butterflies – we successfully released three into our wildlife garden. We have really enjoyed watching and learning what happens to butterflies during the past three weeks and were sad to see them go.

Cress Heads!

This week in Nursery we have been growing cress heads and predicting how long they would take to grow! We were so excited to see them sprout just in time for half term. Please take care of it during the holidays and take pictures of your child giving their cress head a haircut and trying their cress – maybe you could have cress sandwiches!

Caterpillars!

This week in Nursery we have been paying very close attention to our caterpillars as they change from very small caterpillars into big caterpillars. We did some amazing observational drawings of them – and we were able to use all our facts about caterpillars to talk about them! Soon we hope to see them change into beautiful butterflies!

Making Butter!

This week in nursery we had great fun making butter. We made predictions as to what was going to happen to the cream and shook the jar really hard! We then enjoyed eating our butter with crackers.
