We all really enjoyed taking part in our Carnival for Black History Month. The children made hats with their parents during our Stay and Play session. We decorated T-Shirts and made shakers as part of the celebration and learnt Kye Kye Kule an African call and repeat song and dance and performed this round the playground.

In Nursery we have been focussing on settling all the children into our new routine. we are really pleased with how well they are all doing in their new school. They all look very smart and grown up in their new uniforms. We have been exploring lots of fun activities such as painting on the table, chalking on the floor and watching the building work.

Over the next few weeks we will be celebrating black history month. We would greatly appreciate any input from parents for example any traditional songs, stories, clothes or food.

We look forward to celebrating Carnival Day on thursday 23rd October. The children are welcome to come into school that day wearing traditional African and Caribbean colours or traditional dress.
